The year Brandon and I turned 40 we talked a lot about giving back to our community.
We had been volunteering for years, with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Rotary, United Way and many other local organizations. But we wanted to do more.
We also didn’t want to simply donate money; we wanted to be a part of the solution. We wanted to use the skills we had honed over the years to give back.
During our careers, we both had worked in the non-profit world and had owned our own small businesses. We knew the struggles people experienced – worrying about cash flow, trying to maintain staff and programming, and being unsure about the steps required to conquer these challenges. We’d been there too.
Then, after years of hard work, education, and persistence, we had acquired the necessary skills to help.
I had completed my PhD in education with a focus on strategic planning and implementing change initiatives. I was currently putting this learning into practice at the local school board, while coaching teachers on how to implement best teaching practices into their classroom. Brandon was and is a lead IT person for a multi-billion-dollar company.
Together, with our keen interest in business, we decided to launch Stanedin, a social enterprise.
I, Lauren, specialize in grant writing, and business and organizational growth training, including strategic planning, implementing change initiatives, and team building. Brandon specializes in business and tech solutions for small business and charitable organizations.
While we have only been in business for a few short years, we have created wonderful partnerships, working with clients both locally and internationally.
We’ve also been able to offer affordable pricing to clients, while donating 50% of our profits directly into the community.
As a result, we are truly doing what we have set out to do – helping others gain the confidence and skills required for their company to thrive.

How We’re Different

Stanedin’s goal is to provide businesses and organizations with affordably priced resources
and tools that will help them successfully grow.
Through our training, organizations will gain necessary understanding and the required tools so they can be independently successful without ongoing support from an outside consultant. Then every facet of the business or organization (not just one that the consultant works on) can be successful.
